European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Creţu, is today meeting with Representatives from the Regional Offices in Brussels. European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Creţu, is today meeting with Representatives from the Regional Offices in Brussels. These Regional Offices, of which there are some 300 in Brussels, are the representations of regional and local authorities in EU Member States and act much like “embassies” on city or regional level.
During the meeting, Commissioner Creţu will discuss 4 topics: migration, the Urban Agenda, simplification for beneficiaries of EU funds and the Future of Cohesion Policy post 2020. The Commissioner is particularly interested to hear about regions' practical experiences, the challenges they face and solutions they have found in relation to these topics.
